If you move and are leaving Nest behind, go into Settings and select the “Reset” option on your Nest Learning Thermostat. From there, select “To Defaults”. This will remove all of your personal information from Nest, including your Nest Account details.

If you’re taking Nest with you when you move, you’ll want to reset Auto-Away and Auto-Schedule so Nest can adjust to your new home and new habits. Again, simply go to “Reset” in Settings after you’ve installed Nest in your new home.

If you make extensive renovations to your existing home, it’s also a good time to reset Auto-Schedule and Auto-Away, so Nest can relearn how to optimize your schedule in your new space.
