If your traps did not trigger when you expected them to, the reason is most likely one of the following:
- Your trap was not armed (perhaps it was used during an earlier attack against you)
- The attacking troops didn't quite enter the trigger zone or step on the trap
- Your Spring Trap was stepped on by a troop too heavy, or too fast, to shoot up into the air
- Your Seeking Air Mine didn't attack a Minion (Minions are invisible to Seeking Air Mines but not to Air Bombs)
If a unit walks on a Spring Trap, they should be launched out of battle after the trigger. Fast units like goblins, or troops enhanced by a rage spell, can walk fast enough on it to escape the trap.
Your defending clan troops will not trigger traps.
