What do I need to do to get my warranty extension?

There’s nothing you need to do, your Nest Pro will take care of it all. They’ll simply enter their contact information into your thermostat during setup. This will activate your extended warranty coverage.

How can I view or remove Nest Pro contact information on my Nest Thermostat? >

Note: The Extended Pro Warranty only applies to 3rd gen Nest Thermostats professionally purchased and installed after September 24, 2015, and cannot be applied to thermostats installed before then. You Nest Pro installer must enter their Pro ID and contact information at the time of installation. If they don’t, the three year extension won’t be added to the two year standard warranty.
