Article Summary:
Removing a Nest Learning Thermostat or Nest Protect from your Nest Account will disable all Works with Nest features that depend on the product, however, the connection will still be listed as active in the Nest app.

When you remove a Nest product such as Nest Protect or a Nest Learning Thermostat from your Nest Account, you’ll lose many of the functions and control you’re used to: things like remote thermostat control with your mobile phone, emergency notifications, and more.

You’ll also lose any additional features you get from your Works with Nest (WWN) connections. What specifically happens to the features enabled by your WWN connection depends on which Nest products you’re removing and which WWN connections you’re using. Please check with the connection developer to find out what features will be disabled.

The connection will still be listed in the Nest app, so you’ll need to manually remove it.
