Due to the relative age of the device, Clash of Clans will not run optimally on 1st generation iPads. However, this doesn't stop our development team from working to improve Clash's performance on any and all hardware with each passing update.

Naturally, the game will perform best on recent tablets, as it is essential that we match new technology as it becomes available. This doesn't mean we've forgotten about users with other devices, but as a competitive developer we must make sure that we are at all times on the cutting edge of modern gaming.

We understand that it's not perfect, and I apologize for the inconvenience.  Please feel free to submit any and all issues you're experiencing with your device, and we'll be sure that the game team takes them into consideration for future maintenance breaks, and updates.
