Clan Wars matchmaking involves finding two clans of both similar size and strength. This can take a while. We aim to find a match for you within an hour, but depending on the Clans available, it can take longer. The search will continue for up to 3h until a suitable rival is found. This might feel slow compared to what you're used to in regular matchmaking, but we'd like to make sure your Clan gets paired up with the best opponent possible.

You can search for a Clan War in the background while continuing to play Clash of Clans as usual. To do this, simply press the home (return to village) button in the bottom left corner. You will receive a notification once a match has been found. However, pressing 'Cancel' will stop the search. After this, the matchmaking process will start over from the beginning if initiated again.
